General Description 

A Senior DevSecOps Engineer provides network and release support to development teams, automating deployments through configuration management technology. They deploy new modules and upgrades, as well as managing the tools and environments needed for deployments. 

Senior DevSecOps Engineers are diligent in ensuring that security, availability and confidentiality, are major consideration for any change, are actively monitoring for threats, as well as updating tools and processes to improve these throughout the organization. 

Responsibility 

• Maintaining #Monvia's applications and related environments required to build, test and run applications. 

• Providing technical support for the deployment of new releases of Monvia's solutions 

• Develop and support the tools and processes needed to facilitate the deployment of new releases 

• Manage the continuous improvement of environments and processes. 

• Provide technical leadership for operational standards 

• Providing low level network and infrastructure support. 

• Enforce standard methodologies, processes and tools and ensure compliance to enterprise architecture, global information security policies, procedures, and overall firm strategy 

• Identify potential risks, escalating when required.  

Work involves 

• Performing deployments of applications. 

• Investigating new technologies and related tools to improve the development environments and deployment process 

• Providing direct server support during various operations performed by development teams 

• Collaborating with developers to make sure new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices 

• Automating deployment of applications, system configurations and security settings 

• Creating custom code using Shell, Bash, PowerShell or equivalent tools that aid in deployments 

• Create requirements and procedures for implementing routine maintenance. 

• Applying patches and upgrades to company servers and applications 

• Monitoring systems to optimise, or resolve issues 

• Prioritising requests 

• Performing compliance tasks such as disaster recover tests 

• Coordinating with vendors and suppliers 

• Mentoring DevSecOps staff and providing direction for day-to-day activities based on business and department priorities. 

• General documentation 

• Support teams in any other tasks required to meet delivery timeframes 

• Level 3 ,24×7 oncall support for environment issues. 

• Perform general duties required to support the running of Monvia's systems and facilities.
